Anyone in the Philly/NJ area want to ride to Richmond with me. I will drive if someone wants to split the tolls and gas with me. I want to be there at least from noon to 4:30 for the poi classes, but can stay longer.

yeah but our workshops are totally cooler. right? But as far as staves go, for double staves I would get wooden dowels that are about 5/8 inch or maybe 3/4 inch thick. Mine are 3.5 ft long, but I'm 6'3" so maybe 3.25 ft if you wanna go a little shorter. Then you can use tennis grip along the handle area. You can also put tennis balls on the ends and then tape them up with colorful tape so they will A: stay on the staff and B: look really cool. Another option for the ends is to cut open an old bike tube along the length of it so it lays out flat. Than you can wrap it around the end and tape it tight (kinda mimicking the way you would wrap kevlar wicking on a fire staff).
