Tonight we're getting together at the same spot we've been using in bensalem. I'm worried that the space is too small for an open invitation. The area we have been using is only large enough for one person to spin fire....I don't think this is a good spot for a spin jam because even when no one is lit up, there is only room for 2 people to spin and 3 would be a VERY tight squeeze. Plus considering that we usually have a bonfire going, I'm really concerned with people spinning and moving around. Someone could end up getting bumped into the fire. To be honest, I really only feel comfortable with one person spinning at a time, whether they're lit up or not. it's just because the space is so small.

I'm all about an open invitation, but I think we need to find a larger space first. What we've primarily been using this spot for is to have a few friends hanging around a bonfire while one person performs at a time. It really just isn't possible to have spin jam there.

I'm not saying I want to turn anyone down who wants to come tonight because I don't want to be rude and exclude anyone, but it's going to be hard to accomodate alot of people and regardless of how many people come, we're not going to be able to have a spin jam there because this space simply can't accomodate one. I'm also worried about having alot of people back there drawing attention to us.

The night it was supposed to be raining really hard, you said you found a place with cover and privacy...could we possibly relocate there next week, and extend an open invitation? There's also somewhere else we can use...Philadelphia fire arts holds spin jams regularly at clark park (43rd and baltimore ave.) with no hassle. Conclave also uses the space for rehearsals. I've spun fire out there a few times and no one has bothered me. It's a bit of a hike, but if what we're putting together is a spin jam with an open invitation, I think clark park would be the batter bet. We could even do daytime spin jams at playwicki park, core creek, pennypack, tyler, etc.

Any ideas?

Just a reminder we are still doing this weekly. We have had a bunch of you come out and it has been a lot fun. Again just PM me if you need directions. We will be getting started around 10ish.
